A UNIQUE CELEBRATION OF THE GREAT WHITE WAY

Symphony Space’s PROJECT BROADWAY, a celebration of all that’s new and exciting on the Great White Way, returns for its second installment, March 27 — April 2, 2017. This year’s theme is “The Art of Collaboration,” spotlighting the alchemy that turns music, book, choreography, and staging into theatrical magic.

Performers include John Cullum, Nikki Renée Daniels, Jessica Fontana, Santino Fontana, Jeff Kready, Rebecca Luker, Michael McCorry Rose, Ryan Silverman, Elizabeth Stanley, Betsy Wolfe, and others.

A special emphasis on new work brings three new musicals, eight world-premiere songs, and six brand-new scores into the mix. Tickets for all events are available at www.symphonyspace.org.

MARCH 27 — APRIL 2

“KICKING AND SCREAMING,” March 27
Lorin Latarro
and Noah Racey “kick-off” Project Broadway with an evening featuring theatre’s most cutting-edge choreographers and world-premiere music alongside classic Broadway favorites.

AFTER ANATEVKA, March 28
This unique evening celebrates the new novel After Anatevka by Alexandra Silber, who played Fiddler on the Roof’s Tzeitel on Broadway and Hodel on London’s West End, through eight world-premiere songs by renowned Broadway composers.

“PERFECT HARMONY,” March 30
Broadway’s favorite singers take on the musical theater’s greatest ensemble numbers, from West Side Story to Wicked. Come revel in this delightful blend of voices they celebrate the art of harmonizing together!

“ON THE HORIZON,” March 31
Project Broadway spotlights some of the musical theater’s most riveting voices with this first look at three musicals currently in development. See the exciting directions in which the Broadway musicals is heading!

BROADWAY OPEN MIC NIGHT, March 31
Jenny Leon
once again hosts an open mic night featuring Broadway’s greatest music accompanied by Broadway’s finest music directors. Belt out your favorites in the presence of musical theater royalty!

TED CHAPIN: “RICHARD RODGERS AND THE ART OF COLLABORATION,” April 2
Ted Chapin
hosts a discussion of the career of Richard Rodgers, from his early partnerships to his later collaborations. The afternoon features guest speakers and live performances to illuminate the songs of this beloved artist.
